SK-Lab Inc. (Head Office: Shinjuku, Tokyo; CEO: Seongtae Kang) is pleased to announce the latest updates on its upcoming Web3 game, “Three Kingdoms KARMA,” and to confirm that the official release is scheduled for spring 2026.

This title is a new type of tactical RPG that leverages NFT and blockchain technology, allowing players to strategically develop and utilize legendary generals from the Three Kingdoms era.

We are also unveiling in-development gameplay visuals for the first time.

Regarding the Adjustment of the Release Schedule

In Japan, crypto assets are expected to fall under the scope of the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act (FIEA) starting in 2026, and regulatory frameworks are currently being developed. In anticipation of these changes, we have conducted internal study sessions and extensive research to ensure that we can provide a Web3 game that users in Japan can enjoy safely and sustainably over the long term.

Based on these efforts, we have determined that it is best to carefully assess the impact of the new regulations on game operations and to launch the game under a fully prepared framework. As a result, we have decided to adjust the release schedule.

During this process, there were internal discussions that considered a potential launch within 2025, which led to some mentions within the community. However, these were not official decisions, and the release timing announced here is the finalized schedule.

This decision should not be viewed simply as a delay, but rather as
a proactive preparation period to deliver a safe and sustainable Web3 gaming experience optimized for the Japanese market.

Japan is one of the few countries in the world where clear regulatory frameworks for crypto assets and Web3 are being established, and we view these developments very positively. Three Kingdoms KARMA will continue to evolve as a game that fully leverages this environment.
